Clyde`s Drive-In in Saint Ignace

Great price, good food, and fun to be able to pull up and have someone come take order and bring out food. The big C burger is actually big.

Ordered "a side of 5 mozzarella sticks"; was given five orders of five mozzarella sticks. Never had my order repeated to me to confirm until after the food was made. I paid $30 - $15 more than my meal shouldve cost - and didn't get even a "sorry I misunderstood you," let alone a "we won't charge you" or even just a "what if I give you a discount." I didn't argue and paid the $30 after the waitresses stared at me condescendingly upon realizing the mistake, but was shocked she didn't even offer up any sort of apology. Make sure you clearly dictate what you want, because a mistake on either end will be costly.Also, the sticks weren't even good or warm. Yikes.

We did not actually eat here because there was a 50 min wait for the food. I WAS pleased that I was told that right away. What I was NOT pleased about was we are a full sized, crew cab, truck pulling a 24' trailer so the only way to place an order is to call...I had to call 47 TIMES to get through! Once she did answer I was put on hold, briefly, so she could bag food! Neither of the people I talked to outside would take our order. I was told 'you have to call' or 'park under the canopy' which I then motioned to our lengthy vehicle/trailer!I understand being busy, I really do, but there has to be a better way! Obviously, 1 phone line is insufficient and, since the lobby is currently closed, why not allow the staff to help out the people that can't physically pull under the canopy??

We always love coming to Clyde's. I love the olive burgers, just be sure to add mayo because they arent made with a mayo sauce. Hubby likes taco burger and the kids get the kids meal which comes in a neat classic car box.

It's Clyde's! Does anything else need to be said?! If you're on US 2 in St. Ignace this is the only place to eat if you like burgers! Drive-in/diner style restaurant where your hand spanked burger is made to order just for you! Onion rings are delicious as well! Seriously the best burgers you'll ever eat!!!

I've been this area several times and finally stopped in to try Clyde's Drive-in. Big, delicious portions at small prices! The Big C burger is supposed to be 3/4 pound of beef but I personally think it's a whole pound. Someone mentioned sharing it with somebody else - I recommend that as well unless you have an appetite like mine. Three huge patties on a bun with pickle, ketchup and mustard (plus what you want to add) served in a coffee filter-type wrapper. Instead of plates, they use paper doilies. Some drive-in parking but also a few seats inside at the counter. Simple but great comfort food menu and really nice people serving the goodness!

The food was very very good. A little bit of a wait but the place was packed with customers and remained packed the whole time i was there. I see why so many people come here, i loved it.

Great greasy down home drive in food! Burgers are huge, and the tons of other stuff is some serious guilty eating! Dropped 1 star because even when inside the service is so so. I understand they get really busy, but no reason to be lackluster.

Food was good, as always. But please get more staff. The poor girl we had did a wonderful job but she was high tailing it the entire time trying to keep up. We love the old time, hole in the wall feel and this place has it.

Absolutely delicious food, everything I have ever ordered here so far has been above and beyond my expectations! Servers are always exceptionally kind. Sometimes there is quite a long wait here, they are usually always busy during the summer season, but the wait is well worth it!! Definitely worth the wait coming here!

Fantastic service from the very busy waitstaff. Our gal gets kudos for carrying multiple drinks and bags of food without dropping a thing. So one of those three stars is for her.I know people really love the food here and I can respect that. I'm just not a fan.Evan and i both got the big C. Maybe it was an off day but we each had three patties of no flavor. It was the most blah burger. Kelly said her regular burger had no flavor as well. The fries weren't overcooked but still managed to be rock hard. The onion rings were just ok. The fried mushrooms weren't bad but i prefer the ones at another place by us. Brian did like his plain hot dog so that's saying something.An additional star is for the great shakes.All in all it was disappointing - especially given all the hype. We won't be back and not just because it would be a 6 hour drive for us. At least the people were very friendly and the boys can say they ate in the U.P.

Best bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, and cherry shake ever! This is our go-to every time we cross the Mackinac Bridge! GO ... You won't be sorry!

Delicious food and the waitress was incredible! I don't know how she was able to keep track of everyone's orders, especially when people kept interrupting her. It took so over an hour to get a parking spot, order our food, and receive it but the food was so good it still gets 5 stars

Make sure to bring cash, they do NOT take debit or credit cards!The food was great and came out really fast! My husband had the mushroom and Swiss burger and said it was the best one he's ever had. The kids meals were super cute and came in little cars and the shake upgrade for the kids meal was only 75¢, which I thought was incredibly reasonable.

We have had much better service there in the past. We waited almost a half hour to get our food. People that ordered after us got their food way before us. Not a good experience. We will go back though because we love their food. Hope service is better than.

Insanely good burger for an incredible price. Plus, there's fun in being warned that seagulls will steal your fries if left on the window tray. A few months on, I'm just adding some notes to this review. I will definitely stop here again the next time I'm cutting through the U.P. They have a wide variety of foods and now that I've had the famous burger, I'm curious to try other dishes as well.There's a bit of a wait, but it's a busy place and they keep people moving quickly. Don't plan on McDonald's speed, but that's because it's a far superior (and more popular) experience. It is worth the wait for the food here and it's almost a vacation highlight unto itself.

Came here after reading lots of positive reviews, but felt like it might be overhyped. Went on a sunday and place was packed so it took awhile to park, but the server came up to our car as soon as we got a spot. Wait time for food was ~45 minutes. Food was decent - got the mushroom and swiss burger which was good but a little too greasy. We also got the fish and shrimp basket, this place is definitely a burger place... Overall, it was an average experience. It’s cheap and good prices so I guess you get your money’s worth. Would recommend for people to try at least once and maybe call ahead if possible.

Good food & prices!! We usually always stop on our summer trips to the U.P. Busy place! Nice to call ahead & order if you can get through but lines are frequently busy..understandable for a popular spot!! They had additional parking on the side of the building for car hop service but a little unorganized determining who ordered & who didn’t. We had to wait a little while to order!

We got there at noon and had to wait an hour for our food. By 1pm it started to slow down tho.They were non-stoo busy, so its obviously a popular place. Food was great. Get the cheese curds.

My brother-in-law suggested a great place to have a delicious burger. It was Clyde's!!!! What a great lunch we had. Burgers are fabulous. We'll be stopping by Clyde's Everytime we are in the UP.

That Big C is no freaking joke. Fantastic. Busy but doesn't matter. Don't go past this place to many times without stopping for some giant burgers.

The food is better than your average fast-food restaurant, but it's made fresh so that takes a little longer. Well worth it!

A must for anyone visiting the U.P. Classic All American dishes brought out to your car by car hops. Highly reccomend a Big C! Cash or Michigan check only. Counter currently closed due to covid but they are open and very busy!

So we have eaten at Clyde's Drive-In in Sault Ste Marie so we decided to take shuttle from Kewadin Casino RV park up to Clyde's in St. Ignace. Shame on us!! We love the fish baskets & fries. Have never tried their burgers. We do not have a vehicle so we called our order from outside the door. Very busy place, but worth it. It is a beautiful evening and we are waiting to see the Mackinac Bridge lite up.

Excellent!First of all, the food was delicious. Our group enjoyed cheeseburgers, fries, and chili dogs, and left completely full. The staff (especially the woman who was taking orders and interacting with the customers inside) were phenomenal - they work very, very hard. Thanks to all of the previous reviews, which led us to this St. Ignace gem.

Server got 2 things wrong with our order, not including mis-gendering our nephew and giving him a pink car with his kids meal. Service is pretty slow.

The food was amazing!!! The portions were huge. The prices are good. The service is a little slow but that’s because they are always super busy. Would 100% recommend.
